As my mother's ovarian cancer developed, I watched in disbelief as her body seemed to be taken over by some mysterious force.  Recalling her welded scrap metal sculpture, I started to fantasize that the cancer cells were cyborgs, and that they were invading—turning Dina Wind into a Cancer Cyborg before my eyes. Once she passed away, I set out to illustrate this fever dream...
